what do people think of kanye wests new album?

I think it is real good. I like the beats a lot and he has some meaningful lyrics. He got to be one of the best out now.

bout half dat album is good sum of the beats crazy

its hot!

I'm feeling it. Except I don't like the skits. But when do ya?

i tell ya what. i like that bird in the "all falls down" video!

As it says on the inside cover the return of hip-hop. He is the best mc since... a long time anyway. 8)

I think is CD is tight, and it tells the truth

Damn. Guest are coming out of the wood work with their red X's over Kanye West! That CD is straight fire. Kanye is the future.

Hell ya, ive only heard a few of his songs like thru the wire, we dont care wut ppl say, and all falls down and i knew that cd would be hot. Plus i think its tight when a rapper can relate to GOD. Rappers should thank god for their talents and thats exactly wut he does.

I agree about God. People should try to be deep. Since Kanye was almost killed in a car accident he probably has a different perspective about what's important. I guess the same experience 50 had but Kanye and him deal with it different in their music.

I really love all 17 tracks. K.West is on fire with the lyrics and producing :D  [/quote:b2a2a04c93][/i][/b]

ya. the production is straight fiya.

Kanye's album is refreshing for Hip Hop right now. Everything seems so watered down and Bling Bling (don't get me wrong I do listen to all that stuff also), but this album spoke to me 100%. Hot Rhymes Hot Beats, and you can't got wrong with the collabos. How many acts can put some of the hottest underground acts and put them with more mainstream artists. KANYE IS THE FUTURE OF HIP HOP!

[b:75cde2c923] kanye west album hot man.... nicka makin hot songs off crazy azz topics.. n makin em hot... shyt ta me.. dis ah classic...[/b:75cde2c923]

I loovvee Kanye's album. It's time for a change and who better to start wit? We need more people like him and common and talib. I do listen to 50 an alla dat but we need sumthin new! His album is the shit!!!!

the more i hear it the more i like it. it is staying in my rotation. so far album of the year.

Im not feelin Kanye much. He's a tight producer and his messages are tight, but his rhymes are pretty wack.

kanye is a hot producer man but i think he should of worked alittle more on his cd and hot some tracks from just blaze. if he got some more tracks from diffrent producers there would be alittle more flava

good point. any performer can benefit from someone else producing. even great ones. otherwise its all one mind set and listeners can tell.

[b:3656a74038] screw all yall haters cuz kanye's cd is hot. and he from the chi. every trak on there is hot i luv it [/b:3656a74038]

WHAT'S UP PLAYERS AND PLAYETTES!! Southside representing.....Kanye West not only has an ear for producing, but his Chi-town flow mixed with steady beats keeps this disc in constant rotation, especially on the weekends.....need to give it a second listen if it didnt get ya the first time...laters y'all..HAVE TO MAKE MY PAPER[b:51c08ce4d2][color=darkblue:51c08ce4d2][/color:51c08ce4d2][/b:51c08ce4d2] 8)

Kanye is showing up on a lot of collabos now too. He blowing up.

nebody know where i can find on kane's life for my son's report

Kanye is an ok producer, but he's a wack emcee. It doesn't take much talent or skill to speed up someone else's record and throw some mediocre lyrics on it. He should work more on some original beats, he'll continue to get mainstream play, but the true hip hop heads know he's just a passing fad. He won't be around in another 7 years. Can't say any of his songs will stand the test of time, he's a "here and now artist", more than a one hit wonder, but far from a fixture in the Hip Hop Hall of Fame. He still has a long way to go.

He's entertaining though and at least somewhat original. And he has a lot of quotables.

I agree, he does have some catchy hooks an thangs.

Well, I can't comment on Kayne Wests' new album because freakin' australia is sooo slow in getting hot US talent out here. So fill me in ya'll. MaryC xoxox

oh you got to get this one. i think the criticism pay be on point but i think at least kanye west makes people think a bit. not too many people are really making ya think right now. nah'mean?

thanks claude, im'a def holla bak when I get hold of the album over here. Its frustrating when we are behind with releases, so keep giving me info on any new releases from whoever, wherever! Have a good weekend, Holla bak MaryC x0x0x0x

am feelin his album. even tho he relates 2 god alot its still sum wicked hip hop

Ima start by sayin Kanye's album is fire! It has all of the elements that make a classic hip hop record classic. He has a variety of topics, he lets you into his world, his beats are nuts, his flow is tight and compliments his beats, he has substance (which most hip hop albums lack now), he gives praises to the most high, he admits his faults and he's honest. Come on people when was the last time we got an album like that....in the the early 9o's? I read a dudes comments early on and he said all he does is speed up samples.....thats halarious! Sped up soul samples is a Chicago production sound that the city's been doing. Research cats like: NOID, Andy C, YNOT(Twilite Tone) and Xtreme. All these dudes have or have had nationwide releases on their production and to blow dudes spot who wrote that ignorance Kanye doesn't just sample! He works with musicians too, even when he samples he uses musicians but untrained or unaware ears miss all of the hard work that went into a track they thought was a sample. Ask Janet Jackson, Babyface, Brandy, Syleena Johnson, Angie Stone, Keisha Cole, Maroon 5, John Legend, Jamie Fox, Alecia Keys or Rell if kanye is all samples they'll tell you whats up. Real Hip Hop is sample based anyway like it or not, but who's really a real Hip Hop listerner now? Holla back

ya make some good points guest i like his cd a lot. he uses juxtaposition like no other motherfucker out there. plus he aint killing anyone, just an average angry type person. i could relate to his wanting to kick his managers ass and leave a shitty fucking mall job at the gap. the stars now who can relate their lives to the listeners.
